Vero Beach Toyota - Rental Policy

BUSINESS HOURS – M-F 8:00am to 5:00pm, Saturday 9:00am to 12:00pm. Sunday – Closed.
HOLIDAYS CLOSED – New Year's Day, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Veterans' Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day.

RENTAL REQUIREMENTS – To rent a vehicle, the following is required: Valid driver’s license, major credit card (no debit cards accepted), current insurance card with the renter’s name on all documents. All documents must be valid and current. Copies are not accepted.
AGE – Renters and additional drivers must be 21 years of age or older and have a valid driver's license. Renters and additional drivers 21-24 years of age are subject to a $15.00 per/day surcharge. By state law, no one under 21 years of age is allowed to rent / operate a rental vehicle.
ADDITIONAL DRIVERS – Additional drivers are $15.00 per/day. Maximum two additional drivers per rental. Additional drivers must be present at time of rental to sign. They must also provide a valid driver's license and a current insurance card with their name on the card.
AFTER HOURS – Vehicle must be picked up and returned during business hours (Refer to business hours for detail, days closed, holiday hours, etc.) Rental vehicles are rented on a 24HR basis. Example: If the vehicle was rented at 12:00 noon, the vehicle is due back at 12:00 noon on the last day of rental. There is no “after hours” drop box at this time. There is no “pick-up” or “drop-off” service at this dealership.
INSURANCE – Renters are financially responsible for damages to the vehicle regardless of fault. We do not offer rental insurance at this location. Renters are responsible for all charges associated with a vehicle accident. This may include, but not limited to, loss of use fees, towing and storage charges, police report fees, administrative fees, daily or weekly rental rates, any taxes, surcharges and daily extras until vehicle is returned to the original rental location. Damages also include, but not limited to, tires, rims, hubcaps, windshield, broken or missing parts, exterior / interior damages, I.E., burns, tears, broken or missing parts. No towing or commercial use of any type is allowed with the rental vehicle.
VEHICLES – At this time, we have Corollas and Rav4’s in limited quantities. From time to time, additional models may be available. Please contact the Rental Office at 772-569-8000 for availability and ask for the rental department. Travel is unlimited within the State of Florida. There are no one-way rentals at this location. All vehicles must be returned to this location. All rental vehicles are GEO tracked 24/7. There is a GEO tracker fence on the boundaries of the State of Florida. If a rental vehicle is taken outside the state, a $100.00 per day fee will be charged. In addition, the renter will be put on a DO-NOT-RENT list. The dealership is not responsible for personal property left in the vehicle.
FORMS OF PAYMENT – All rentals must be pre-paid with a major credit card, in the renter's name, at time of rental. The name on the license and credit card must be in the same name. We gladly accept major credit cards such as Visa, Mastercard, Discover, American Express, Apple and Google pay. A $200.00 deposit is required in addition to the rental charge and will be refunded pending verification of condition of the vehicle upon return. We do not accept Debit Cards, Pre-Paid Credit Cards, or cash as payment.
CANCELLATION – On all non-prepaid reservations guaranteed with a credit card, there is a 2-hour advance cancellation required to avoid a $50.00 no-show fee. Reservations must be cancelled at the original source booked. Failure to properly cancel any reservation from the original source will result in a non-refundable no-show fee being charged.
CLEANING – It is important that the vehicle be returned in the same or similar condition as was rented. There is a $400.00 cleaning fee for excessive dirt, sand, trash, stains, spills. Animal Hair, Etc. No pets are allowed in the vehicle.
SMOKING – All rental vehicles are NON-SMOKING. NO SMOKING / VAPING / CANNABIS in vehicles. A $400.00 cleaning fee will be charged.
EQUIPMENT – Infant, toddler and booster seats are available for $12.00 per/day. (All seats are wiped with disinfectant cloths and sprayed with disinfectant spray before each rental)
FUEL – All rentals must be returned at the same fuel level noted at time of rental. A $10.00 per gallon surcharge will be applied if a vehicle is returned with less fuel than when rented.
MILEAGE – Unlimited mileage. All rentals are geographically limited to the State of Florida. Vehicles cannot be taken out of the state.
ONE-WAY RENTALS – One-way rentals are not available at this location.
TOLL ROADS, FEES, VIOLATIONS – The renter is responsible for all toll road, traffic and parking fees / violations. For Sun Pass / Easy Pass customers using their transponder in a rental vehicle, simply log into your Sun Pass or Easy Pass account and add the rental vehicle license plate, along with the start and end date for the planned usage of the rental. For additional assistance, you can call the Sun Pass Customer Service Center at 1-888-856-5352. Easy Pass customers, 1-800-353-7277. If there is a bill received from the toll or traffic company regarding the rental vehicle, the credit card on file will be charged for the bill plus a $25.00 handling fee.
REFUNDS / EARLY RETURNS – All rental vehicles are rented on a 24HR time frame. I.E., if the rental begins at 12 noon, it is due back the last day of rental at 12 noon. Early returns on rentals reserved thru internet are non-refundable regardless of inclement weather, rental vehicle accidents that occur during the rental, length of stay changes, family or pet illnesses that may arise, or changes to business schedule.
