The RAV4 was the groundbreaking model that went on to define a whole new type of passenger vehicles a quarter-century ago. With ride, handling and comfort characteristics more closely related to sedans than SUVs, the first RAV4 essentially created the crossover SUV market. Now in its fifth generation, the Toyota RAV4 remains the leader in its size class and has been America's best-selling, non-pickup passenger vehicle for the past four years! With each of the five model generations, the RAV4 has offered increased room, comfort, versatility and performance while providing better fuel efficiency. Now for the 2022 model year the RAV4 is now offered in a new SE Hybrid grade.
The new 2022 RAV4 SE Hybrid is designed for customers looking for sporty performance and style but a lower price point compared to the XSE model. The new SE Hybrid includes mono-tone paint, fabric trimmed seats, a 7-inch touchscreen with six speakers. It also features many optional features like the commuter's dream weather package which includes heated seats, heated leather steering wheel, rain-sensing windshield wipers with de-icer function. Or choose the convenience package equipped with moonroof, height adjustable power liftgate and Audio Plus that updates to a 9-inch touchscreen.
For 2022 there are some exciting exterior updates as well. The XSE grade get a bold new color in Calvary Blue with a black roof. The SE Hybrid and TRD Off-Road grades also benefit from this fun new color edition. Not to be left out of the updates, new wheel colors are in store for the LE Hybrid, XLE and XLE Hybrid as well as the Adventure grade. The XLE Premium Hybrid, Limited Hybrid and XSE Hybrid will feature new wheel designs for 2022.
The RAV4 looks to maintain its momentum with its widest selection ever including the first-ever RAV4 TRD Off-Road. The hybrid model will be offered in LE, XLE, XLE Premium, XSE and Limited model grades and the flagship RAV4 Prim PHEV with an EPA-estimated rating for 42 miles on all-electric battery power alone. This plug-in hybrid model is serious about performance, and provides the next level synthesis power, efficiency and style. Additional details for the first-ever RAV4 Prime include:
- 302 hp and 0-60 mph in just 5.7 seconds
- EPA estimated 94 MPGe
All Toyota RAV4 models come equipped with standard Toyota Safety Sense (TSS 2.0). The safety technologies that are included in the standard TSS.2.0 are:
