4Runner’s standard 4.0-liter V6 engine pumps out 270 horsepower. With its ability to tow up to 5,000 lbs, venturing into some of nature’s toughest terrain doesn’t mean you have to leave everything behind. Once your offload and the terrain is unforgiving, you can’t afford to be saddled with anything less than a full-size spare and thats why every 2018 4Runner comes with one.
The 2018 4Runner isn’t just all about conquering the rugged off-road trails, Toyota made sure to also have a focus on luxury, comfort, convenience and technologically-advanced connectivity. A 6.1-in. touch-screen display and available heated and ventilated front seats, are there to make sure you’re always comfortable. Every 4Runner grade has a unique wheel style to enhance its personality. The SR5 grade comes with a 17-in 6-spoke alloy wheels, the TRD Off-Road grade features a 17-in 7-spoke alloy wheel with black painted accents, and the Limited grade features stylish 20-in 6-spoke wheels.
Although the exterior of the 2018 4Runner is tough looking, the interior feels exceptionally refined. Toyota used premium materials like SofTex on the SR5 Premium and the TRD Off-Road Premium grades and perforated leather on the Limited grade. All together its the perfect blend of ruggedness and comfort. All 4Runners feature a 8-way power driver seat with power lumbar support, but step up to the SR5 Premium or TRD Off-Road Premium and get a 4-way power adjustable front passenger seat in addition to the heated front seats! Limited grades add heated and ventilated front seats, plus driver’s seat memory to automatically go back to your ideal seating position every time you step in for a ride.
If you’re all about the entourage, you’ll be able to accommodate up to seven passengers with the available third-row seating on the SR5 and Limited grades. The third-row seats also have a 50/50 split capability to make room for cargo. The 4Runner is the only SUV in its class to have a power sliding rear glass window. The power glass lowers with the push of a button, making it easier to grab your gear from the cargo area…plus who doesn’t love to ride with the windows down!
All 2018 4Runner’s feature 8-standard airbags which are all prepared to help protect you and your passengers in the event of an accident. Side-impact door beams provide extra occupant protection if your vehicle is struck from the side. Impact beams are located inside all doors and are designed to absorb energy and help reduce intrusion into the cabin. In addition, every 2018 4Runner includes the Toyota Star Safety System which includes: Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control, Anti-Lock Brake System, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, and Smart Stop Technology.
TRD Pro
The 4Runner TRD Pro is ready to take your adventures to the next level. Its suspension features oversize TRD Bilstein high performance shocks with rear remote reservoirs and TRD-tuned springs help to carry you over unforgiving terrain. Plus a 1/4-in thick aluminum skid plate is designed to protect things up front, this rugged body-on-frame SUV fears no trail. The bold grille and unique TRD Pro badging will turn heads on the trail and in the city! Adding to those head turning looks are 17-in matte-black TRD alloy wheels wrapped in aggressive all-terrain tires.
